July Tips – Things to Fear!

I’ve blogged about 3 things you should be prepared for to help keep your dog safe and happy this time of year: Fireworks, Foxtails & Skunks!

Here is an article on keeping your dog from being anxious around fireworks… Just in time for July 4th!

Here is some important info on how to be prepared for a skunk attack.

Here is some helpful info about the danger of foxtails, with some interesting pics of Kompis’ vet getting one out of her eye!

I hope you don’t ever actually need to use any of these tips! But, if you do, I’m glad we could help. As always, if you need more help with anything, feel free to give us a call 415-643-3333 or email info@poochcoach.com.

Remembering A Wonderful Dog

In case you missed my latest article & video:

It was the most difficult and probably the most important blog post I’ve ever written. And people have reacted so positively. I am very happy that we could touch & help so many people with our story….

It’s been 3 months since I said goodbye to my 12 year old mini schnauzer, Kompis. I finally had the courage to write an article to help others going through this process. It’s an article that ALL dog owners should read so you will be better prepared for the inevitable.

How to prepare to say goodbye to your dog, and tips for coping with the loss.

Remembering Kompis with Love & Smiles

Below is a video celebrating 12 amazing years with my dog and all she did and was. I couldn’t fit in all her travels, TV & film appearances, and friends, but I put together a good sample to share.

And, we have a very special song – “True Compass” – that I requested permission to use from the artist, Tret Fure, and she graciously agreed. It describes the wonderful relationship Kompis & I had, as she definitely was my ‘One True Compass/Kompis’, showing me direction and teaching me every day.

I hope you enjoy this little peek into the wonderful, fun-filled life of an adorable miniature schnauzer.
