Agenda for the Meetup:   

 

12:00 – 12:30 12:00 – 12:30 (Pooch Coach Clients only) Polite dog greetings.
We will continue the exercises of walking our dogs by other dogs to practice calmness & not reacting.

 

12:30 – 1:00 One-on-one coaching for Pooch Coach Clients.

Note: 12:00 – 1:00 is for Pooch Coach clients ONLY!

 

1:00 – 2:00 Others can join! The Pooch Coach will introduce outdoor & distance commands. She often gets requests for dogs to learn how to come on command (at a dog park), but they are nowhere close to being ready for the task.

 

She’ll discuss the importance of indoor & outdoor training and show how to get your dog to do this: Watch Musik perform commands in a new neighborhood from several yards away – when she was barely 6 months old.

May-June Tips

When (not) to get a 2nd dog.

 


Having 2 dogs might be twice the fun, but it’s also more than twice the work!

 

Whether you’re considering getting a 2nd dog, or you already have one, this article will give you some great advice on the do’s and don’t’s.

 

Most people make at least one of several possible mistakes with their new dog, and the dog ends up having what The Pooch Coach calls “2nd Dog Syndrome”.  If you don’t take some specific steps with your 2nd dog, they can end up being anxious, fearful, or even aggressive.  So, click below and make sure you’re not making any of these common mistakes, and that you’re really prepared for another pup!
