November Training Tip
Put Your Dog to Work!

Dogs aren’t just pets. They are working companions who need jobs to do. In previous generations, dogs were trained and bred to hunt, herd, dig, fetch, and protect. If we don’t retrain their genetic disposition to do their tasks they were bred to do, they often become problem behaviors. Dogs bark at the wrong people or objects, dig up our gardens, damage our possessions or even hurt themselves or others trying to re-enact their ancestor’s occupations. If we simply keep their minds and bodies occupied with new tasks, they will easily adapt. Here is an article I wrote to give you some concrete tips & tasks to give your dog to help ensure everyone’s safety, sanity and well-being.
