November – December News & Tips

Hello! Welcome to our last newsletter of 2019. We hope you enjoy it.

November - December News & Tips

SFDC Meetups are fun! Come out and practice your dog handling & communication skills and meet other past & present members of the Pooch Coach Pack. Our next Meetup with FREE training tips, behavior help, treats and socialization practice is:

Saturday, Nov 16th @ 12 noon – 1:30 PM at
Christopher Playground in SF. (If not under construction!!)
Free demos, advice & treats from The Pooch Coach!

NOTE: This meetup will be a bit different than previous ones.

As usual, a combination of all types of dogs are welcome: aggressive/reactive, shy/fearful, and curious/comfortable.

But we will be using this Meetup to examine all of these different types of reactions to other dogs. The Pooch Coach will explain their body language, and how to read and understand it. We will get to see a wide variety of ways that dogs show their emotions.

This will hopefully help people avoid confrontations in the future, and be better equipped to make judgments and decisions for their dog’s and their own safety.

In combination with this, The Pooch Coach will be demonstrating some self-defense moves for when aggressive dogs get too close, especially if they’re off leash.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ENTRANCE TO THE LOCATION HAS CHANGED
DUE TO CONSTRUCTION

No matter how “bad” your dog is…
please don’t “Try Everything”

Work with a professional with a consistent plan.

One of the most common things people say and write to me is that they have “tried everything” with their dog, yet they cannot fix an issue they are having.

Even if you’re already working with a professional, make sure you are being clear and consistent with all your communication.

Without steady, clear direction, your dog is likely to get worse than better!
